| Agriculture, Farming & Ranching, has long been the back bone of Luna Conty's economy and has been a major influence on it's cultutre. Displaying and preserving this is an important objective to the museum. |

After entering the ranching area by of a porch with railing from an area ranch house, visitors will find displayed an authentic chuck wagon along with all the equipment that would be used in roun-up or cattle drive. A variety of saddles are displayed including some made and tooled by local saddle makers, roping saddles , work and show saddles and a Mexican saddle with a wooden cantle. As well as anitque farm equipment that includes a tractor, thresher, hay mower, hay rakes, hay baler, cultivator and others. The exhibit also shows ranching's influence on many aspects of everyday life. A display of "cowboy" hats donated by area ranchers shows the ingenuity in creating their own style. Trophies and awards of a local rodeo champion depecits the sport that grew out of the cowboy's life. Also included, is a display showing how the cowboy legend influnced books, movies and music nationally.

As agriculture has evolved, crops have
changed. Luna County is now home to may vineyards and boasts two wineries.
